The Hydropower Industrialists Association (HESİAD) made critical decisions during its Board Meeting held on September 27, 2023. One of the key changes announced was the appointment of Elvan Tuğsuz Güven, a Board Member of TEKTUĞ ELECTRICITY GENERATION INC. and one of the founding members of HESİAD, as the President of the Association. This appointment signifies a significant shift in the leadership of HESİAD.

With her extensive experience in the energy sector and leadership vision, Tuğsuz Güven is expected to illuminate the association's goals for the new term. Furthermore, this appointment marks an important step towards gender equality, as she becomes the first female chairperson of HESİAD, one of the earliest established NGOs in the sector. 

Other decisions made during the HESİAD Board Meeting include the appointment of Yusuf Hüseyin Yücebaş, a Board Member of Akenerji, as the General Secretary. His experience in the energy sector is anticipated to contribute significantly to the association. 

These new appointments within the HESİAD Board aim to strengthen the association’s vision and further increase its impact and membership in the energy sector. With these changes, HESİAD seeks to enhance its efforts in sustainable energy solutions effectively. The association is stepping into a new era with a series of strategic moves aimed at maintaining its pioneering role in Turkey's energy sector.
